Next Generation Technology for Freightliner Locations

Decisiv, Inc. announces a new program for Freightliner dealer service locations across North America. Select Freightliner locations can now join the growing list of Decisiv Service Management Platform (DSMP) users, and take advantage of Decisiv’s world-class Internet-based service management platform.

What is DSMP?
DSMP is a unique service management platform developed by Decisiv for the trucking industry. It has been designed to support stronger communications, more efficient service management, increased parts sales and better overall customer service between service locations, truck manufacturers and fleets.

Who uses it?
Developed in partnership with truck manufacturers, dealer service locations and fleet operators, Decisiv’s unique software platform has evolved over the past seven years. The current release facilitates truck service transactions totaling hundreds of millions of dollars each year and is a key tool at many of the largest truck service centers across North America. DSMP has facilitated service on more than 2 million vehicles and represents the gold standard in truck service management.

Over 60 fleets (80,000+ vehicles) use the platform, including:
Kenan Advantage: MVASIST facilitates all service transactions on its 1000 Mack units
Knight Transportation: More than 3000 Volvo units communicating through MVASIST
Henderson Trucking: Currently using DSMP 5.1 with select Freightliner locations.
Prime Inc.: Participating in 2009 Freightliner launch working with selected locations.

How does it work?
DSMP forms a “sticky” bond between service locations and their fleet customers. By using a “portal” through which all transaction information and communication flows between the parties, the service write-up is created, negotiated and approved in an efficient and complete process that eliminates waste and provides a permanent record of every step of the transaction.

What does it Cost?
DSMP 5.1 is the latest version of Decisiv’s software platform. It contains several important upgrades to previous versions of the software. Decisiv is offering this for a limited time to select Freightliner service locations as a FREE upgrade to their existing Decisiv service management platform.*

At the same time, Decisiv is launching a fleet-facing version of DSMP with several large national fleet customers who will join the program during the 1st quarter of 2009. These fleets will receive a FREE version of the platform called Fleet Basic and will be able to immediately communicate with the selected Freightliner locations in the network as their trucks arrive at service centers. For fleets interested in a consolidated view of all their service activity, with historical searching capabilities, Decisiv will launch Fleet Plus in the 2nd quarter of 2009. Fleet Plus, currently in pilot deployments at selected fleets, will enable fleet managers to view, negotiate and authorize all service transactions in a consolidated web portal. Decisiv will offer this enhanced service to fleets for a transaction-based usage fee.

DSMP offers participating Freightliner service locations the opportunity to grow their businesses more efficiently as the key national fleets come onto the network in early 2009.
